Seeing Those Flashing Lights Behind You Can Mess Up Your Evening . . .
As the Friday night lights illuminated the city, Ray and Carla geared up for an unforgettable evening. With a flick of a switch, the pulsating bass filled the car, unleashing their inner free spirits. Dancing and reveling in the moment, their laughter drowned out the worries of the week. However, their excitement was short-lived, as red and blue lights emerged in the distance, casting an unwelcome shadow on their vibrant escapade. Instantly, Ray’s quick reflexes tamed the music, urging Carla to hold back her enthusiasm. Yet, the police car closed in, pulling them over for their enthusiasm. Though the music may have been silenced, their night would forever be etched with the memories of an unexpected encounter.
Carla and Ray’s unexpected encounter at the courthouse left them bewildered yet amused. Little did they know that the ticket, which had led Ray to work overtime just to pay for it, was issued by a long-deceased police officer. As they stood before the lady at the front desk, ready to settle their dues, her laughter filled the air. She shared that many others, too, come from time to time to pay for tickets issued by this ghostly figure. Despite the absurdity of it all, Carla and Ray couldn’t help but find humor in this supernatural twist.
This sounds like an urban legend.
I don’t doubt Ray’s and Carla’s account of that auspicious night and the reception at the courthouse. Others have had similar experiences right there in Lilydale.

Witness her mesmerizing journey as she gracefully walks and crosses the street, vanishing into thin air near the Holiday gas station on Wabasha. Brace yourself for a spine-tingling experience like no other in Lilydale.
Phil is familiar with this chilling tale. It’s truly terrifying. His brother-in-law even knows someone who had an encounter with the deceased officer. And did you hear about the dog that was present with the cop? That poor dog remains alongside the deceased officer. And on top of all this, do you know the true cause of the police officer’s demise? Phil also heard rumors that the cop was shot by some criminals, but this information has not been verified.
We do know he’s still on the job handing out tickets! True dedication — even in the afterlife!
Thought I’d Close With A Creepy Lonely Country Road . . .
I was just thinking about others who are familiar with Lilydale and the concept of an urban legend. One account was that some kids were driving along that particular road, they immediately turned off their music — yes, they heard the story about the cop giving tickets for playing their music too loud — If this is an urban legend, it did its job of having young adults drive responsibly without their music blasting. Just a thought!
