In A Quaint Community in Lewis County, There Exists A Charming Cottage Home That Holds A Rich History Dating Back To Well Before 1935.
Acquired by Rob in April of 2009, little did he know that this seemingly ordinary abode harbored an unexpected secret: it was haunted. Despite having always believed in the existence of ghosts, Rob could never have fathomed that his own home would be the stage for unexplained occurrences. Night after night, he would be privy to the enigmatic whispers of a female voice, occasionally interchanged with that of a man. The cryptic messages remained elusive, leaving Rob in a state of perpetual uncertainty.
One morning, he was jolted awake by the disconcerting sound of his bedroom door flinging open, followed by a resounding slam.
The passage of time brought forth a series of inexplicable events. Upon marrying, Rob’s wife experienced unsettling encounters, including having the blankets pulled away in defiance as if an unseen force held a grudge against her and eagerly awaited Rob’s departure for work. She would find herself subjected to inexplicable knocks, slaps, and even hair-pulling episodes. It was during this tumultuous period that a young female apparition made her presence known, materializing intermittently throughout the house, alternating between an ethereal visage and a solid form.
Determined to capture evidence of these supernatural phenomena, Rob embarked on a quest to record any semblance of paranormal activity. Amongst the recordings, he managed to capture the voice of a young girl lamenting, “I lost something in Monteka,” and the voice of an older lady labeling the resident of the nonexistent upper floor as a “hardnose,” a curious statement given the home’s single-story layout.
The identities of these ethereal visitors remain an enigma to this day. Intrigued by the electronic voice phenomena, Rob decided to delve into the attic, hoping to unveil any clues that would shed light on the peculiar happenings within his cherished dwelling. And lo and behold, he discovered a room unbeknownst to him, a confined space just big enough for a small cot and a narrow passageway. It is presumed that this cramped nook is where the elderly woman’s mentioned man resides. Curiously, the only person to have ever laid eyes on this mysterious figure was Rob’s daughter, who vividly described him as short, stooped, and exuding an air of malevolence.
Even to this day, as the house stands empty, an eerie aura lingers, with haunting echoes and gloomy shadows enveloping Rob’s cherished abode on Wright St.

Years ago in the late 70’s, on the outskirts of Rocky Mount NC, Cassie and her family resided in an ancient house. Nestled near the four corners store, also known as Sandy Cross Roads, this peaceful structure transformed into a chaotic realm once darkness enveloped it. Nights were filled with a clamor that resembled the unleashed demons of hell, depriving Cassie of a single night of restful sleep in that ancestral dwelling.
Growing up as a child was quite challenging for Cassie. She had a unique gift – the ability to see spirits at any time, day or night. It seemed that these spirits were inexplicably drawn to her, always lurking and peeping around corners wherever she went. Every night in her house was a living nightmare, with eerie sounds emanating from the loft and the kitchen. It sounded as if something was constantly jumping from the loft to the floor.
One night, curious to see the source of the sound, she ventured into the kitchen only to find a mysterious black cat sitting on the table. This scared her to the core, and she sprinted off screaming to her parents, who dismissed it as a figment of her imagination. The nightly sounds of jumping from the loft persisted, forcing Cassie to find solace in going to bed early.
It Seemed That Cassie’s Sixth Sense Would Awaken At Night, Opening Her Spiritual Eye.
The last night she spent in that creepy old house, Cassie witnessed the black cat leaping from the loft, slowly making its way toward her room.
Trembling with fear, she covered her head and watched as the cat jumped onto her bed, its shadow visible through the sheets. Just when she thought it was over, the cat transformed into a skinny old man wearing a long pot hat.
Shaking uncontrollably, Cassie covered her head again, but the man stood over her, touching and tickling her from the other side of the sheet.
Overwhelmed, she wet the bed and blacked out, waking up the next day filled with terror. That was her final night on West Mount Dr. in Rocky Mount, NC.
Even to this day, Cassie continues to have spine-chilling encounters, a constant reminder of the fear she experienced in her youth.
